Recognize that not all Alpacas will exhibit a particularly warm response to everyone offered. Some Alpacas may only take a little while to adjust, while others will be more guarded, and for that, patience is of utmost importance so let them be the one to approach you rather.

Interactive Playtime:

There are activities that can be practiced outside the cage, and pre-planned time has to be tagged for this activity. Such time may be used for exploration within the limits of the area that has been declared safe, for pursuing objects, and for participating in some rhythmic and non-violent actions that would exploit their inbuilt tendencies.

I would guess that spending some time petting and playing with my own Alpaca guinea pig, whom I named Marshmallow, was probably the game changer. She got better and better with being held and we grew closer with each passing day. If you purposely invest much time to build a heartwarming relationship with your Alpaca, rest assured that such a pet will grow healthily and be a part of the family who will add pleasure to your home and warmth.
